My First Space Words introduces little ones to space, telescopes, missions, and so much more in English and Spanish paired with charming illustrations by Jayri Gómez! Zaida not only understands the complexity of the universe but also the importance to teach our children at the earliest age about the new frontier in both languages. As a Salvadorian American, Zaida represents the very little Latinos in the field of science.

In her conversation with Lil’ Libros editor, Melanie Romero, Zaida dives into the importance of supporting her community and inspiring a new generation of space explorers.
