During Women’s History Month, we are celebrating the women that paved the way and the women making history now.

This week we honor, Jessica Alba, actor turned entrepreneur that changed the clean home and beauty industry with her company. Born in 1981 in Pomona, California, Jessica dreamt of becoming an actress since the age of 5. Due to her father’s military background, the Alba family moved from state to state until finally settling in California once again. After attending acting school, she pursed her dream at the age of 12 in small roles and commercials. Jessica has worked alongside A-list actors and received a Golden Globe nomination. With the birth of her daughters, Alba decided to create and launch The Honest Company in 2012. Jessica’s own experiences during motherhood forged the need to create safe and sustainable products. The Honest Company set forth to carry natural and non-toxic personal care products for all families. Having started off with diapers and baby wipes, turned into an empire. The company has since gone public and has inspired people to advocate for healthy and safe commodities. Jessica recently made history after becoming the youngest Latina ever to take a brand public, when The Honest Company made its debut on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021. In 2015, she graced the cover of Forbes Magazine as one of America’s richest self-made women.

The Honest Company is a representation of her values and good nature towards people and our environment. Jessica Alba is a multi-faceted, independent, and inspirational figure in our community, and we celebrate her today and every day.
